programs. The truth and myths about small business certification programs and why DBEs, WBEs & MBEs are
not winning contracts through the federal programs and primes. Understanding what we can do as a small business
community to increase the odds of winning contracts in your state and nationwide.

This session is an open realistic documented discussion of contracting and certification challenges from the DBE,
MBE & WBE perspective, including real life experiences with Primes. Further, we discuss what to do when these
challenges arise, what primes really think about certification programs, and how to manage these challenges
without hurting your company's contracting opportunities.
09:30AM - 10:30AM Follow the Money ($8 Billion) in Illinois ARRA Contracts
During the "Follow the Money" session, we help business owners understand how the contracting dollars are
distributed from the highest level of federal government all the way to your state, your cities, your counties and
federal primes. Most importantly we will identify exactly where the contracting dollars are you your state, how
you can locate these opportunities and their decision makers over the next few years.

This is a working brunch as we have a great deal of information to cover. Therefore the group takes a short break
to be served brunch and return to session by 10:30AM. Business owners may take individual breaks as needed

11:30AM - 12:30PM Evaluate Your Business Positioning & Marketing Behavior
During this session business owners evaluate their overall position in the market including business strengths and
weaknesses and the company's ability to take on larger contracts. Additionally owners review key marketing
behavior to determine consistency and effectiveness. Marketing effectiveness compares, what you are doing now
to market your company, what is working and what is not working.
12:30AM - 01:00PM Programs to Help Businesses Win Millions in Contracts
The training consultant provides an overview of small business support programs to address problematic
contracting challenges for small businesses such as ongoing Contract Marketing Services, daily location of current
and future Bid Opportunities and One 2 One interviews between federal agencies, primes and business owners.
